I tell them, its by the grace of God and the application of the below steps I am about to underlist.
1. Be patient.
In blogging, especially for newbies, patience is a very vital skill needed if you want to run a successful blog.
2. Post regularly.
Always post like 5-10 times a day.
3. Avoid copy-pasting.
This will kill your blog, especially a new one. Think of unique contents or articles to write/publish, even if not daily but the most important factor there is the UNIQUENESS.
4. Enable your meta description and set them well.
Choose your meta description carefully, and make sure it matches the content your blog offers. Avoid using keywords in meta description. It kills your SEO.
5. Engage social networking/bookmarking.
Social network is one huge provider of traffic. Create social networks accounts/pages and use them to drive traffic to your site.
6. Get backlinks.
Yes, I know its not easy to get backlinks but you have to do the heaculian task of commenting in blogs related to yours. Do not make it too spammy, just one or two comments will do!
7. Build internal links.
Enable your relable posts widget and watch your traffic double. Assuming 100 people visit your site in a day, you can easily double it with the Related Post Widget...Those visitors who wanna leave may like to click on those related posts before leaving and that leads to an increase in traffic.
